Hi everyone

I have exciting news to share with all the fans out there… my brother and I have chosen a new name to perform under! We shall henceforth be known as Willem and Louis from… Silwer!

We recently got our whole family involved in the choosing of a name, and decided on an elegant and beautiful name that encapsulates the nature of who we are and the music that we will always sing for our fans. We will strive to always live up to our name. But yes, if you happen to see Louis do something that is not quite “Silwer” in nature, please forgive him, he is like that sometimes (hehe). Yes, he will probably have a good-natured word or two to say about this when he reads it, but be unable to deny the inherent truth of the  statement.

Furthermore, we now have a new website, filled with audio clips, youtube video clips, photos of us performing and cool news. Please check out www.SilwerMusic.com. There you will find things like audio clips, video clips and photos from different performances.

And the biggest news performing-wise is that we will be performing at some of the FIFA events centered around Cape Town. We are looking forward to this a lot, and feel privileged to be able to represent our country in the arts while Bafana Bafana does so on the soccer field.

Hi everyone.

My brother Louis reminded me that it is my duty to inform the fans out there what has been happening lately, so, as I wholeheartedly agree, here I am.

The show was such a great experience for us, where we got to finally live out our dream, and meet a lot of wonderful people. Not only that, but the show enabled us to start making our living from singing, and that is indeed what we do these days. We enjoy every moment of it.

As is always the case, there was a steep learning curve at the beginning, gathering knowledge about the industry, about the people, and how things work. And this we have done. We have also been fortunate enough to perform at quite a few concerts, shows, birthdays, and weddings. Thank you to everyone who made this possible for us. We are now about ready to start organizing a traveling show (“Our First Show”, name will probably change), and looking for sponsors to sponsor our first CD. If I had to name an experience that stood out for me so far… appearing on Top Billing, in the New Year’s episode, was definitely a highlight for me.

Otherwise, I enjoyed a wonderful holiday with my wife and family, and came home to happily work at our new career with my brother.
